Murphy Family Learning Hub

One shared home for everything we're doing to support Lleyton & Kayleigh — so the whole family can teach as one team, all reading from the same page.

How we use this hub: This is the family's shared snapshot of where the kids are and what we're working on — Math, French, AI literacy, and each child's own focus area. Anyone teaching the kids can check in here, celebrate the wins, and see what to do next. Start with Our Approach if you're new to the team. It's a conversation starter, not a report card.

Lleyton · Summer French Reading Plan
Nine weeks, 15 minutes a day, building reading comprehension for Grade 3. Each week adds one skill — whoever is reading with him that day just picks up the current week's focus. These sessions are also on the family calendar, and the full plan is in Programs & Resources.
Lleyton · French Workbench

Open the French Workbench

The dedicated build bench for Lleyton's French — the comprehension goal, every teaching material we've made, and what to build next, all in an idea → building → done pipeline.

Teaching the Kids About AI

Our approach: curious, hands-on, and honest

At 6 and 8, the goal isn't technical skill — it's a healthy mental model. AI is a tool made by people, it's helpful, it's creative, and it can be wrong. We explore it together, always with an adult, and we always check what it tells us.

Open the AI & Coding Workbench

The dedicated build bench for the kids' AI literacy and first coding skills — four learning tracks, every teaching material we've made, and what to build next. Uses Lleyton's love of Minecraft & Roblox as the way into real coding.

Our Weekly Rhythm
Summer Prep — Before Jun 29
Why we have this page. Four of us help teach Lleyton and Kayleigh, and kids thrive when the adults around them are consistent. This page is our shared agreement: who leads on what, and the handful of ground rules we all stick to. None of it is complicated — it's just here so nobody has to guess.
Who's On Each Team
We divide up by child — each child has one lead who keeps the big picture, and everyone else pitches in. Leading doesn't mean doing it all; it means knowing where things stand and keeping this hub current. (Names and roles are easy to edit — see the note at the bottom of the page.)
Our Shared Ground Rules
A Note On Each Subject
Staying in sync. Every couple of weeks the leads look at this hub together — update the progress numbers, add a milestone or two, and adjust the goals. A quick message to the group after a good (or tricky) session goes a long way, so everyone walks into their next turn knowing what just happened.
Our learning library. Every program and printable we've built so far lives here. Click Open to view a file — this works when the hub and the files are kept together in the same folder.

Programs & Resources
What we could build next. These are programs and printables we can develop for Lleyton and Kayleigh as they grow. Nothing here is built yet — pick one, and once it's made it moves over to Programs & Resources.
